How to Get Started
Every job that we work on is a partnership. To get great work, you need great clients, and that’s where you come in. Read through the below information about our process, to learn what to expect on our journey. We hope it answers some of the questions you may have have. Get in touch if you want to know more!
1 — Get In Touch
First we start by getting to know you, your personality, and what you are looking for. A broad estimate for the cost of your tiny house is between $50k and $95k. Tiny house pricing depends on a lot of factors, such as trailer size, type and amount of windows, quality of interior and exterior finishes, appliances, etc. Fill out the form at the link below and we can provide you with what we call a general estimate, free of charge, which will be a range, but a little more narrowed down, based on those previously mentioned factors.
2 — Get A Detailed Estimate
In order to get a detailed estimate, we need to know much more about what you are looking for, and essentially we have to design the entire house down to the nuts and bolts. Getting a detailed estimate is a 3-4 week process, with a fee of $80. However, at the end of this process, you will have floor plans of your custom home, and an entire bill of materials, and a proposed schedule for completion. Then, if everything looks good, we get under contract and are off to the races! We can then order the trailer (approx. 4-week lead time) and once we have it, start building.
3 — Build !
Typically our builds take 6 months, but this may vary depending on our orders at the time. We build in three phases:
Subfloor, Wall and roof framing and sheathing, Windows and doors.
Roof, exterior siding, interior framing, interior plumbing and electrical rough-ins.
Interior and exterior finishes, appliances, etc. to completion
The typical payment schedule we use is 1/3 of contract price at signing, the second 1/3 at the mid-point of construction, and the final 1/3 at completion / delivery.
4 — Stay Up To Date
Once building starts, we’ll keep you informed so that you can see the journey every step of the way. Once complete you may either come and pick up your tiny home or we can have it delivered to you.
